cococita’s creations: a new blog feature

Dearest readers

Today I am happy to launch a new blog feature, called ‘cococita’s creations’. I choose consciously for little c’s instead of capital ones as to me, modesty and simplicity are important values and … I love the little things in and of life. In these blog posts, I am going to share some of my daily creations, other than my paintings. This will be an adventure, both for you and for me. Since last year, creativity has become more important than ever to me and I will let you see some glimpses of my creative life. I hope you will enjoy it!

365 + 1 Grateful Project – Day 35

Today I am grateful for this red rose. To me it symbolizes the complexity of simplicity and the beauty of imperfection. We, people, can learn a lot from plants and nature in general.

A couple of days ago I read an precious text about it, written by one of my favourite artists (singer, poet, comedian and painter) of the Netherlands, Toon Hermans. He passed away in 2000 but my father and I will be fans forever. I will translate his wonderful words about the wisdom of nature for you next time when I go to my father’s place, ’cause he has an extended collection of books by this intriguing man.
